Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Express Technician to join our team at Swickard Auto Group. As an Express Technician, you will play a vital role in providing fast, accurate, and high-quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles, identifying potential issues and preventative maintenance needs.
  • Change engine oil and filters according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Rotate and balance tires, checking air pressure and tread wear.
  • Top off or replace fluids (coolant, windshield washer fluid, etc.).
  • Perform other express services like battery checks, wiper blade replacements, and air filter changes.
  • Document all completed services and identified issues on repair orders.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Explain service recommendations clearly and concisely, obtaining customer authorization before proceeding.
  • Provide estimated wait times and keep customers informed of service progress.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in automotive repair or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to follow manufacturer service specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
