Job Summary

The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, Realtors, and governmental agencies to drive lending opportunities and ensure compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act. This position will focus on selling and originating residential mortgage loans to meet predetermined sales goals, with a focus on CRA assessment area needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, Realtors, and governmental agencies to drive lending opportunities.
  • Sell and originate residential mortgage loans to meet predetermined sales goals.
  • Identify and meet with prospects to explain various mortgage products and determine best alternatives.
  • Work with community-based organizations and municipalities to collect and submit subordinate financing for consideration in originating mortgages to low-moderate income borrowers.
  • Support the entire WSFS Bank footprint, including Southeastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience marketing and originating CRA mortgage loans and loan products.
  • Active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
  • Effective sales skills and excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior customer service skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, and industry standard Mortgage origination software programs.
