Intelligence Analyst II

Position Overview:
This role is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Intelligence Analyst II, you will be expected to:
- Exhibit a solid understanding of the concepts associated with the specific functions detailed in the labor category description.
- Apply knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) classification protocols and procedures effectively.
- Utilize logical reasoning when assessing and synthesizing diverse information sources.
- Interpret analyses to convey their significance, implications, and relevance.
- Defend analytic conclusions with sound reasoning and adjust judgments in light of new information or evolving situations.
- Produce timely, coherent, and concise analytic reports, assessments, and briefing materials using tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, demonstrating strong grammar skills.
- Conduct structured research, including obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information in compliance with security and data protocols.
- Identify and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
- Employ advanced analytic methodologies to examine biases and assumptions, enhancing analytic arguments and reducing uncertainty.
- Understand intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, including technical sensors and human intelligence sources.
- Evaluate collected intelligence reports and engage with collection managers to develop collection requirements.
- Demonstrate comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that confirm completion of all required training and experiences.
- Work independently with minimal oversight while collaborating with other IC members on information sharing and conflict resolution.
- Lead teams in researching complex problems, guiding the selection and application of analytic methodologies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Intimate knowledge and experience in analyzing intelligence related to China.
- Experience within DIA's China Mission Group or Asia Pacific Regional Center (APRC).
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant analytical experience, with a portion within the last 2 years.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Essential Tasks:
- Conduct research and create intelligence products, including assessments and briefings based on the Program of Analysis (POA) and Key Intelligence Questions (KIQ).
- Publish a minimum number of all-source analysis products annually as per production requirements.
- Analyze and integrate complex data from multiple sources to assess developments in assigned subject matter and geographic areas.
- Participate in relevant conferences and maintain contacts with counterparts in other intelligence organizations.
- Identify intelligence gaps and recommend collection requirements to address them.
- Utilize Open Source tools and methodologies for research and analysis.
- Deliver subject matter expertise to enhance processes, procedures, and technologies.
- Assess foreign military capabilities and operations, identifying discrepancies and updating data as necessary.
- Produce written intelligence assessments and briefings for tactical, operational, and strategic consumers.
