Job Summary

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Day Habilitation Aide, you will work with individuals who require support with daily living skills, such as nutrition, shopping, and personal hygiene. You will also assist with activities of daily living, encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion, and provide direct support and positive direction to individuals served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support and positive direction in all daily living skills to individuals served, including but not limited to, nutrition, shopping, laundry, personal hygiene, health care, safety, communications, interpersonal relations, mobility, and financial assistance.
  • Assist individuals served to understand and follow their physician's orders regarding diets, repositioning, and range of motion, etc.
  • Review and complete documentation for individuals' medications sheet, data collection sheets, and communication logs as required.
  • Possess the ability to organize, mediate, be creative, multitask, and be empathetic and willing to learn appropriate interventions.
  • Must have knowledge of intervention techniques, behavior modification strategies, medical and psychological aspects of disability issues.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and a vehicle that is insured and privately owned.
