Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Ithaca City School District.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing server-related software, as well as performing standard server management procedures, including security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and relocate hardware and software for servers and network operating systems, including assembly, configuration, and transport.
- Configure and test server-related software, including hypervisors and enterprise backup solutions.
- Log and respond to server and operating system-related incidents using Enterprise Service Desk software.
- Document configuration processes and settings, troubleshooting methods, and activities.
- Perform lifecycle management of relevant systems, including inventory, asset identification, documentation, and asset retirement.
- Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to place in, arrange around, or remove from the workplace.
- Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and system groups.
- Deploy and test client images and software packages.
- Inform supervisor regarding the status of operational issues and necessary changes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of server software and hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The Network Infrastructure Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
