Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apartment Management Consultants. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our property buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains in good condition.
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy by conducting thorough inspections and making necessary repairs.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools are on hand.
  • Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents to management.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
  • Be available to work on an on-call basis and respond to service requests in a timely manner.
  • Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday and remove snow and ice as necessary.
  • Handle lock-outs resulting from evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate various hand tools, including power tools.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written or oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field.
