Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Director to lead our finance team at the Golden Acorn Casino & Travel Center.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall direction, administration, and coordination of all financial activities within the finance department. This includes managing staff under their scope of oversight, ensuring they receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, retain, motivate, evaluate, and direct general and administrative staff.
  • Review activities in the general and administrative areas to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions, and quality guest service.
  • Create, develop, and implement an effective strategy of financial organization for the property, working with the General Manager to determine objectives for future growth and expansion.
  • Evaluate management operations in all areas of the finance department.
  • Maintain the integrity of all financial data produced by the department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university or a Master's Degree, CPA, or CMA designation.
  • Seven years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields, including a minimum of two years in a controller, director, or equivalent capacity within a casino or resort accounting/finance department.
  • Prior experience in working closely with Cage and Compliance operations.
  • Title 31 experience.
  • Proficient in GAAP standards and computer literate, including knowledge of spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
