Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach college-level American Sign Language (ASL) courses at various locations. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in ASL or a related field, experience teaching hybrid and web-enhanced courses, and knowledge of Moodle course management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach ASL courses in traditional seated, online, and hybrid formats
  • Develop course plans and tests, and assess student learning outcomes
  • Continuously improve instructional quality by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods
  • Maintain accurate records of student work and attendance, and grade and return student work in a timely manner
  • Counsel students regarding their grades and progress in the course
  • Support the Department, Division, and College goals, and provide requested data in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with community college teaching experience and familiarity with North Carolina Community College curriculum structure and processes.
