Nuclear Effects Consultant

SimIS Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Weapon Effects SME to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing test capabilities for nuclear modernization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, nuclear engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience. A Master's degree is required, and a PhD is desirable.
Responsibilities- Develop investment proposals for test capabilities, including research and development of new test technologies
- Review and critique test-related requirements documents, such as TE Master Plans and Test Capabilities Requirements Documents
- Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to achieve goals
- Interact with senior DoD leadership and strategic partners regarding nuclear modernization T&E infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications:
- DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
- Masters of Science degree in physics, nuclear engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university
- At least 8 years' of experience
- Familiarity with PBPE, acquisition community practices, and key nuclear modernization stakeholders
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Desired Skills:
- PhD in physics, nuclear engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline from an accredited university in a technical field with six (6) years of experience
