About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Marvel Medical Staffing in Arlington, VA.

Job Description:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing various tasks related to nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing patients, administering radioactive materials, and operating imaging equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety.
  2. Administer radioactive materials to patients as directed by physicians, following strict protocols to ensure accurate dosing and patient safety.
  3. Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras, to capture high-quality images of patients' internal structures.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient procedures, including test results and any notable observations or issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nuclear medicine technology or radiologic sciences.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
