Job Summary

The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker is a critical role at Hercules Industries, responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute delivery routes to optimize time and equipment usage
  • Perform a variety of duties in the delivery of orders to customer locations and job sites
  • Obtain or pull material to fill pick tickets from storage yards and warehouses, verifying quantities and items against invoices
  • Load merchandise into company vehicles and deliver to customers, ensuring receipt signatures
  • Pick up merchandise returns from customers, inspecting condition and verifying quantities and catalog numbers
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean condition, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Verify quantities and descriptions of materials received by checking merchandise against packing lists and purchase orders
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment safely
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to satisfy customer requirements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving, and ability to operate assigned vehicle
  • Good driving record and may require Commercial Driver's License (dependent on equipment operated)
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, with exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Employees work both inside and outside, on elevated balconies.
