We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a therapeutic environment at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize therapeutic communication to provide individualized patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Identify nursing problems and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve hospital goals and vision.
- Receive post-surgical report from CRNA and circulator, including patient vital signs, anesthesia used, dressings, drains, and fluid intake/output.
- Maintain post-operative drains, including JP, Hemovac, Pleurovac, and foley catheters.
- Assess and treat pain based on physician parameters, ordering pain medication as needed.
- Provide updates to patients and relevant individuals.
- Oversee quality assurance activities and communicate concerns to physicians.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Tennessee or compact licensure.
- At least 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience.
