Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Grill/Prep Cook to join our team at TravelCenters of America. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food to order, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the smooth flow of menu items from the kitchen to the servers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to order, adhering to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked kitchen area, adhering to safety and sanitation procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Read and follow recipe instructions, and use safe food handling procedures.
- Stand for up to 8 hours during a shift, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and follow recipe instructions.
