Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Grill Cook Tasks: Set up broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets, and prepare all products to the specifications requested by guests.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Practice safe food handling and storage procedures, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Build strong relationships with colleagues and leaders, and communicate effectively to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Previous Food Service Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
