Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will:
  • Exhibit proficiency in respiratory care techniques and critical clinical skills annually.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality care under pressure.
  • Perform all aspects of respiratory therapy safely and competently, tailored to the specific needs of patients.
  • Lead during emergency situations, applying established protocols and procedures.
  • Assess and address patient health conditions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Showcase expertise in mechanical ventilation, CPAP, and BiPAP procedures.
  • Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements for service delivery.

Qualifications:

Education:


While no specific educational background is mandated, candidates must possess the qualifications necessary to achieve the required licensure and certification.


Experience:
Documented experience is essential to secure state licensure.

Licensure:
Must hold a valid RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care and be licensed as a registered Respiratory Therapist in Tennessee, with ABG endorsement. Current CPR certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) are also required.
