Job Summary

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Replenishing products on the shelf, rotating stock, and ensuring code dating procedures are followed
  • Ringing up guest orders by scanning product or punching price into register, finalizing sales, and collecting payment
  • Setting up displays on the sales floor
  • Assisting with light stocking duties and informing management of any out-of-stock items
  • Unloading deliveries and maintaining back room efficiency
  • FOLLOWING PROPER PROCEDURES TO ENSURE THE STORE MEETS OUT-OF-STOCK PERCENTAGE GOALS
  • Placing misplaced items back in their proper locations
  • BAGGING GROCERY ORDERS AND PLACING THEM INTO GUESTS' CARTS
  • Providing exceptional customer service and greeting guests in a friendly manner
  • PROPERLY HANDLING PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH FOOD SAFETY AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 0 to 6 months of retail experience
  • No high school diploma required
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
