We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Gold Country Health Center. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nursing professionals in our long-term care facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Supervise and mentor a team of nursing assistants and certified nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure that residents are receiving the best possible care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that promote resident independence and well-being.
- Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality care and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote resident safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment, including progress notes and medication administration records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in geriatric care and nursing best practices to ensure that residents receive the highest level of care.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of nursing professionals.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
