Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental science education. Our mission is to educate for environmental responsibility, and we have been doing so since 1968.

Job Summary:

The Rock Bottom Ranch (RBR) Director will oversee all operations of the ranch, including agricultural and land stewardship activities. This role will work closely with school and community programs through partnerships with ACES Education and Community Programs teams, and also events and donor relations with ACES' development and events staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainably manage agriculture operations and land stewardship to achieve vegetable, livestock, and land conservation goals.
  • Lead and oversee the Farmer Training Program, supporting agriculture-related donor projects, managing natural lands, and maintaining conservation agreement operating plans.
  • Support landscaping plans across numerous guest and staff areas at the property.
Collaboration and Partnerships:
  • Work closely with the Education Director and Community Programs Director to advance education and community programs.
  • Partner with the Development Director to continue and advance donor events, farm tours, and donor education and cultivation.
Financial Management:
  • Manage the RBR budget in collaboration with the CEO, ACES Finance Director, and program teams.
  • Generate income from agricultural products, events, and community programs.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
