Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech Svcs Specialist to join our Operating Room team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist staff during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe environment.
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures, maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Act as a preceptor for other techs, sharing knowledge and expertise to support team growth and development.
  • Formulate and update protocols for specialty procedures, working closely with the RN service specialist.
  • Manage new and existing instruments and supplies, ensuring availability and organization.
  • Build relationships with sales reps to ensure proper equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist in coordinating repairs of specific equipment and maintaining a safe patient care environment.
Requirements
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required. Must maintain required education and certification.
  • Completion of surgical technologist course preferred.
  • Two years of experience required.
