Teaching and Support

We are looking for a teacher who can:

  • Align curricular standards with state guidelines to ensure a rigorous and relevant education for our students
  • Build and maintain a strong school culture centered on achievement, respect, and inclusivity
  • Implement common academic and behavioral procedures to create a structured and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and analyze student progress through standards-based assessments, providing targeted support and accommodations as needed
  • Teach Language Development classes and provide in-class support for student language needs

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Participate in weekly professional development sessions, including Curriculum Teams and workshops

Communication and Community Engagement

We are seeking a teacher who can effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues. As an English Second Language Teacher, you will:

  • Host Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences three times per year and communicate regularly with families
  • Plan and lead service learning projects that integrate academics with community service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Massachusetts Teacher Certification and/or successful completion of the MTEL
  • A commitment to raising the academic achievement of all students, particularly multilingual learners
  • Experience working with a diverse student body and a passion for creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment
