Job Overview:

The Custodian will be responsible for executing essential daily cleaning tasks as dictated by specific contracts at designated sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  2. Service and supply restrooms, ensuring all fixtures and areas are clean and stocked.
  3. Collect and dispose of trash, transporting it to the appropriate disposal area.
  4. Clean windows and walls to maintain a pristine environment.
  5. Conduct carpet maintenance, including vacuuming and spot cleaning.
  6. Dust and sanitize light fixtures and blinds.
  7. Manage supply distribution and maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
  8. Keep janitorial storage areas organized and tidy.
  9. Ensure a safe working environment by reporting hazards and adhering to safety protocols.
  10. Follow all safety instructions related to cleaning materials and equipment.

  12. Provide courteous service to all building occupants.
  13. Notify supervisors of any accidents immediately.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Background check is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Familiarity with cleaning agents and janitorial equipment.
  • Experience working with chemical cleaning products.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in operating standard janitorial equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills to follow cleaning schedules effectively.
  • Ability to interact professionally with the public.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Accurate completion and submission of time sheets.
