Pharmacist Staff

Avenue 360 Health and Wellness is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Staff to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining workflow efficiency, dispensing prescription drugs to patients, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with agency policies and procedures, as well as program-specific procedures and protocols.
- Perform standard pharmacist duties, including prescription intake, verification, and patient counseling.
- Provide information about drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
- Advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of prescription orders with consideration for patient safety and legal requirements.
- Perform drug utilization reviews (DURs) and document interventions.
- Prioritize authorization management, working specifically with the pre-approval process of filling prescribed medication orders to ensure proper insurance coverage and efficacy for the drugs used.
- Monitor the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy.
- Provide information and make recommendations about over-the-counter drugs.
- Give advice about diet, exercise, or stress management.
- Advise patients about durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies.
- Manage workflow process and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with all standards of care, including data entry and preparation of medications and work plans.
- Demonstrate ability to set priorities and work cooperatively with others within and outside the department.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Bachelor's of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
- Continuing Education and Training Requirements: Participate in trainings required by the funding source and/or as required by licensure if applicable.
