Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at SSM Health Day Institute. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from traumatic injuries or illnesses.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, establishing treatment goals, and developing comprehensive treatment programs. You will also provide ongoing patient education and coordinate treatment programs with other clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
  • Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes.
  • Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services.
  • Provide for patient education to include development of comprehensive and progressive home programs with instruction to patient, family and other caregivers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy required.
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
  • CPR certification.
