  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Adheres to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, taking appropriate actions to address compliance inquiries or concerns and reporting any suspected violations.
    • Conducts cleaning of both occupied and vacated patient rooms and examination areas.
    • Ensures cleanliness of all ancillary areas associated with the designated patient care unit.
    • Responds to urgent situations as directed by the Environmental Services Department.
    • Maintains an adequate supply of cleaning materials throughout the shift.
    • Restocks all paper and necessary supplies as required.
    • Organizes and cleans the cart and storage area at the end of the shift; returns all borrowed equipment.
    • Informs the Supervisor if unable to complete assigned cleaning tasks.
    • Reports any maintenance issues to the Environmental Services department secretary.
    • Empties sharps containers when they are three-quarters full and replaces them with new, clean containers.
    • Maintains the assigned area in accordance with all departmental policies and procedures.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.
