Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Quality & Patient Safety Manager, the Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in the continuous evaluation and oversight of adherence to regulatory standards in patient documentation.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or data management discipline or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Home Health is an advantage.
  • A minimum of one to three years' experience in areas such as health data management, data analysis, auditing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Florida Home Health regulations, Medicare participation conditions, and Joint Commission standards is desirable.
  • Experience with OASIS and PDGM is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluates, reviews, and audits patient records or other information to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Delivers regular updates to management regarding patient record compliance and various performance metrics.
  • Conducts targeted reviews and audits in areas identified as high risk or problematic.
  • Maintains tools, reports, data, metrics, and compliance tracking to monitor patient and compliance information.
  • Engages in various committees to discuss risks and opportunities for enhancement, report on compliance metrics, and collaborate on process improvement initiatives.
