Key Responsibilities- Assist with and coordinate patient care, including greeting and receiving patients, orienting them to the unit, and preparing them for discharge or transfer.
- Provide therapeutic communication and interact effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform technical skills under the supervision of the RN, including collecting and sending specimens, performing blood glucose testing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional growth, including attending educational programs and providing inservices.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (1 year experience) required, or High School Diploma or Equivalent (CNA - Certified Nurse Aid certification) required, or Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field required, or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required, and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire required, and ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 6 months required, or CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 days required, and ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 12 months required.
