We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team at Great Plains Health. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Check patients in upon arrival and obtain vital signs, review of systems, medication lists, family and social histories, and review medical records for completeness.
- Ensure appropriate supplies are available for patient visits and procedures, and maintain sterile and safe environments.
- Triage patient phone calls, medication requests, and support physicians with in-office procedures.
- Administrative Tasks
- Log sample medications and document receipt in patient charts.
- Send written, verbal, or computer-generated requests for prescription refills to pharmacies as requested by providers.
- Track lab and procedure orders, communicate clinical data test/procedure results accurately to the healthcare team.
- Education and Communication
- Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians or clinic policy.
- Communicate and instruct plans of care to patients, families, and guardians.
- Document understanding of instructions given in patient charts.
- Current, valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification is required.
- Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
