Job Overview

The Boeing Company is on the lookout for a Senior Paralegal to enhance our commercial contracting efforts within the Indirect Supply Chain Law team. This role will primarily focus on the internal procurement of goods and services across various Boeing divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a substantial volume of supplier agreements efficiently.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather essential information, analyze potential issues and risks, and propose effective solutions while participating in contract negotiations.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including services agreements, purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, and statements of work, ensuring compliance with Boeing's policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear and strategic legal advice to internal procurement teams and business clients regarding potential business and legal risks.
  • When necessary, escalate contractual issues to Attorneys with comprehensive background information and suggested mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare letters, memoranda, and other written communications while safeguarding confidentiality and privilege.
  • Work independently to resolve issues while consulting with Attorneys for final solutions.
  • Oversee and maintain Law Department projects, processes, and practices.
  • Foster a cooperative and positive team environment, effectively communicating with military and international clients.
  • Contribute to team-oriented tasks and projects, including the development of legal training programs for internal client groups.
  • Conduct legal research using specialized software and other resources, analyzing findings and drafting legal memoranda for Attorney review.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Work Arrangement: This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial contracting, either in-house or with a law firm.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience, including in-house work with a large corporation, focusing on commercial contracts with domestic and international parties.
