About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies. Your attention to detail and ability to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
  • Adjust factors to attain the appropriate images, ensuring safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and medical history, and communicate findings to physicians.
Requirements
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
