The Admissions Counselor serves as a key liaison between prospective students and their families, school counselors, and other stakeholders in the college selection process. This role is responsible for recruiting, selecting, and yielding undergraduate students to various programs at Drexel University.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an inquiry and applicant pool, reviewing applications for domestic, international, and transfer applicants to make informed admissions decisions.
- Interact with prospective students through individual meetings, information sessions, and campus events to build relationships and explain the benefits of attending Drexel University.
- Counsel accepted students through the enrollment process to ensure a smooth transition to Drexel.
- Travel extensively during peak recruitment periods, locally, nationally, and internationally, to participate in on-campus recruitment events.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with school counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders in the college selection process.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.
