Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients requiring renal replacement therapy, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis-related topics, including treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in nephrology nursing, with a focus on inpatient dialysis.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
