Job Summary:

As a skilled Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist at Dialysis Care Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Review new staff documentation for accuracy and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, pre-evaluation, initiation, monitoring, termination, and post-evaluation of dialysis.
  • Document patient information, administer medications, and assess dialysis adequacy.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and review lab results, ordering and following up on necessary tests.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain competency with emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection prevention measures.
  • Provide ongoing education to patients and families on renal disease, vascular access, and dialysis therapy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN or BSN.
  • Current state licensure as a RN.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Minimum 6 months hemodialysis experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
