Our Cancer Prevention and Control Program

The Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Cedars-Sinai Cancer is dedicated to reducing the cancer burden in our catchment area by engaging communities and increasing cancer prevention, screening, and clinical trial accruals. Our program fosters a collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment, providing access to exceptional core facilities, unique cohorts, training grants, and clinical scholars programs.

Position Requirements

We are seeking a nationally recognized investigator to join our team as a faculty member in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of scholarship, evidenced by independent cancer research funding and peer-reviewed publications. Academic rank and the potential for a leadership role are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Conduct independent cancer research and secure funding to support their research program
  • Develop and lead research projects in the area of cancer prevention and control
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance our understanding of cancer and develop effective prevention and treatment strategies
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and junior faculty members
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service activities
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in epidemiology, public health, health policy, health services research, behavioral sciences, or an MD with an accompanying public health graduate degree from an accredited school. A track record of peer-reviewed publications, active cancer relevant peer-reviewed funding, and demonstrated excellence in cancer research of high scientific impact and translation are also required.

Cedars-Sinai offers a competitive total compensation package, including pay, benefits, and other incentive programs. Our comprehensive faculty benefits package includes a generous salary range of $130,000 - $290,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
