Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in maintaining the overall flow of the workplace, providing support to other employees, and coordinating business communication.

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and assists with various job tasks, including answering phone calls, sorting and distributing mail, maintaining office supply inventory, and performing general office duties.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing data entry, preparing purchase orders, shipping paperwork, reviewing production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables, and requisitioning and maintaining inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.

Additionally, this role involves compiling and preparing documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, or purchase, maintenance, or repair orders, and resolving complaints or eliminating delays.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new software quickly.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate general office equipment in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of administrative experience preferred. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
