The U.S. Air Force Central Command's Network Operations and Security Center (AFCENT NOSC) manages comprehensive information technology (IT) services and operations for AFCENT networks around the clock. Tasked by USCENTCOM, it ensures information assurance (IA) through boundary intrusion detection and prevention for USCENTCOM components. The AFCENT NOSC encompasses operations, support, cybersecurity, network engineering, and command support functions, focusing on planning, engineering, installing, integrating, operating, maintaining, protecting, and managing enterprise-wide network and systems architecture, infrastructure, and services. Additionally, it provides oversight to subordinate and supported communication activities. In response to steady state, contingency, and emergency operations, the AFCENT NOSC deploys personnel to various locations within the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to install, integrate, upgrade, patch, and sustain supported enterprise networks, systems, and services. AFCENT/A6 has engaged NOSC IT support services to enhance mission execution in a dynamic technological, geopolitical, and military landscape.
Key Responsibilities

V2X is looking for a qualified candidate to deliver Cybersecurity Operations Management for the AFCENT NOSC IT contract. This role is dependent on the successful award of the contract to V2X.

Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD TS-SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • DCWF KSAT Category: 631.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Network+, Unix/Linux, and ITIL Foundation Certifications.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated understanding of:
    • Installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, utilizing server images.
    • Implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity, remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, and advanced network infrastructure.
    • Maintenance and monitoring of server environments.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of firewall technologies.
