We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Specialty Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As a key member of our summer camp staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality programs and activities that promote youth development, education, and fun.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement engaging programs and activities that align with the YMCA's mission and values.
- Provide exceptional customer service to campers, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with the Day Camp Lead to ensure smooth program execution and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage program logistics, including setup, execution, and teardown.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and campers.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff through regular updates and reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in education, recreation, or related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with children in a structured setting.
- Background and expertise in a specialty area (e.g., arts and crafts, sports, STEM).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a Motor Vehicles Record check and have a valid driver's license.
- Prior experience working with teens.
- Current certifications in First Aid/CPR.
