Job Title: Boiler Service Journeyman

Hill York is seeking a skilled Boiler Service Journeyman to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of Boiler systems and related equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair boilers for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
  • Work with a variety of boiler systems, including high and low-pressure steam boilers, hot water heating boilers, high-efficiency boilers, and water heaters.
  • Travel to job sites in our service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly vehicle inspection forms.
  • Understand company pricing and generate customer invoices at job sites.
  • Document installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as needed.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer recommendations, and explain issues and solutions to customers.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, including newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.

Requirements:

  • UA Apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience.
  • Preferred certifications: Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, Journeyman: Maintenance, Factory Training.
