Avionics Service Technician - Aviation Job Summary

Banyan Air Services, a leading aviation company, is seeking an experienced Avionics Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our avionics team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing avionics systems and components on various aircraft types, including Citation X, Global Express, and Challenger 300/350.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair avionics systems and components, including troubleshooting and repair of avionics equipment to component level.
  • Enter work performed in the computer or on the disc sheet after work is completed.
  • Stay current with changes in the technical area, as service letters are issued on avionics equipment.
  • Assist in the maintenance of avionics systems, both on the bench and in the aircraft.
  • Check avionics systems in aircraft after repairs.
  • Assist the avionics supervisor and crew leader with customer relations, closing of work orders, and other administrative functions.
  • Maintain current calibrations status and records for shop test equipment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Factory Certification of various types in avionics and repair, plus a minimum of three years of previous related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Airframe & Powerplant License a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in hot and noisy environment.
