Assistant Director, Consortium for Teaching Hebrew Language and Culture

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director, Consortium for Teaching Hebrew Language and Culture at Brandeis University. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with budgeting, grant applications, and administrative support for the Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration / Budget / Operations- Assist with budget preparation, record keeping, and reconciliation of daily general accounting functions.
- Support grant application process, including budget proposals, timelines, and essential tasks.
- Serve as primary point of contact for phone calls, emails, and visitors.
- Provide administrative support to the Director and Senior Assistant Director.
- Manage the Director's calendar and appointments.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events.
- Prepare and edit documents, reports, and participate in meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
- Assist with development and implementation of communication strategies to promote programs and events.
- Assist in creating engaging content, including newsletters, press releases, and media advisories.
- Implement comprehensive marketing strategy to promote programs and services.
- Manage production of promotional and marketing materials.
- Measure and analyze feedback and data to assess success of marketing initiatives.
- Assist in preparing research on potential donors, including creating database with all potential and relevant donors.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date database with all relevant activity.
- Coordinate direct outreach to relevant contacts and liaisons.
- Assist with campus programs and events.
- Assist with cultivation of donor relationships.
- Provide general administrative support to directors, associate director, research faculty, staff, and affiliated scholars.
- Order books and periodicals, oversee memberships and subscriptions.
- Serve as public face of the Center, greeting and directing visitors, callers, and emailers.
- Arrange for repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Assist with planning, preparing, and supporting virtual and in-person events.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Strong interest in the field of teaching Hebrew as a second/foreign language.
- Outstanding organizational skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, including near-native writing and editing in both English and Hebrew.
