Job Overview

Position Summary: The Sustainability and Risk Management Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives at Grand Peaks Property. This position involves ensuring compliance with local utility regulations and Energy Star standards while managing the incident reporting and tracking processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement corporate and asset-level ESG strategies.
  • Oversee internal and external ESG reporting, assessments, and sustainability policies.
  • Lead the ESG Committee, collaborating with various departments to drive internal initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal energy benchmarking regulations.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends in ESG reporting, communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external authorities and industry organizations.
  • Facilitate programs aimed at achieving measurable improvements in ESG metrics.
  • Plan and execute initiatives for environmental efficiency, including green leases and certifications.
  • Collaborate with the ESG Committee to define and assess program boundaries.
  • Monitor regulations related to utilities across the Grand Peaks portfolio.
  • Update and manage data collection for asset management partners.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring organization and adherence to deadlines.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly, maintaining a rigorous follow-up schedule.
  • Manage property setup and energy consumption data in Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
  • Assist with data collection for property acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Support on-site teams in the vendor credentialing process and evaluate vendor exceptions.
  • Oversee the incident reporting process, ensuring thorough follow-up on claims.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capability to analyze and interpret contracts and related documents.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

Annual salary range of $100,000 - $130,000.
