About the Role
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct diagnostic imaging studies of patients, positioning them for optimal anatomy/pathology demonstration, operating radiation-producing equipment, and preparing patient rooms/equipment/medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician.
- Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operate radiation-producing equipment, and prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications.
- Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that perform both Radiology and Lab.
Requirements
- TS - Trade School Graduate (Required)
- ARRT Radiography(R) - Certifications - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- RQI Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others, Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
