Job Title: Bilingual Parent Educator

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Parent Educator to join our team. As a Bilingual Parent Educator, you will play a vital role in providing family-centered, home-based services to families in our community.

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Parent Educator is responsible for implementing family-centered, home-based services using a team model to include assessment, planning, referrals, and education to families identified and referred by community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide family-centered, home-based services to families in our community.
  • Conduct the enrollment, service planning, and implementation of the Parents as Teachers Curriculum focusing on strengths and areas of concern.
  • Conduct home-visits, addressing specific goals in the family service plan; conduct developmental screenings; make referrals and establish connections to other community resources identified in the service plan; facilitate educational groups.
  • Document services provided to the family and submit required paperwork in a timely and well-organized fashion.
  • Participate in PAT staff meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Follow agency policies regarding confidentiality and other consumer rights.
  • Maintain flexible hours and schedule visits according to families' needs.
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner within the community.
  • Work well with other agencies' personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences, preferred.
  • Associate's Degree, required.
  • 2 years of experience working with parents and young children.
  • 5 years of experience working with parents and young children with Associate's Degree or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good data management skills.
  • First Aid/CPR certification required.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance.
