About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to join our team at St. John's Hospital. As a member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions.
  • Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care.
  • Monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems.
  • Ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
  • ASCP certification, or equivalent, required within 1 year of employment.
  • One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state license if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
