Staff Server Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Server Engineer to join our backend engineering team at DApp360 Workforce LLC in San Francisco. Our company is a leading AAA Web3 blockchain game developer with a strong focus on building social games for the Web3 Blockchain space, powered by NFTs.

The Staff Server Engineer will be part of our San Francisco team and will be responsible for collaborating with team members on tech designs and implementation of server authoritative game features. This includes maintaining and improving the existing server application and cloud infrastructure code base, developing and running load tests to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend services, and maintaining standards and code quality across the team via code reviews.

Requirements
  • Team player with passion for games and game development.
  • 6+ years of professional experience programming with an object-oriented language, preferably C#.NET.
  • Prior server development experience.
The Role
  • Collaborate with team members on tech designs and implementation of server authoritative game features.
  • Maintain and improve the existing server application and cloud infrastructure code base.
  • Develop and run load tests to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend services.
  • Maintain standards and code quality across the team via code reviews.
  • Rotating on-call duties (daytime only).
Your Background
  • BS in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field.
  • Familiarity with the actor model architecture and Microsoft Orleans.
  • Multithreading/concurrency should be well understood.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Relational databases, for example, MySQL.
  • Jenkins and Jenkins pipelines (Groovy).
  • Github, Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.
  • Web development with or similar technologies.
  • Unity3d or other game engines.
