Rosenbauer South Dakota, LLC is seeking a skilled Pipe Fabricator to join our team. As a Pipe Fabricator, you will play a critical role in the assembly of our fire apparatus, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Cut, weld, and sand pipes to prepare for assembly, adhering to strict quality control measures.
- Bolt and assemble components to the plumbing system, ensuring precise fit and function.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Perform water and suction tests to verify the efficiency of the plumbing system.
- Install valves and ensure proper attachment, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required, but a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly are essential.
- General plumbing, mechanical, and/or fabrication knowledge.
This position is located in a general shop environment, with access to all welfare facilities. The temperature is controlled, but humidity levels can be high at times. The shop is equipped with various machines, which can generate noise and create a dusty environment. The position may require working at heights and in confined spaces, with occasional low-light conditions.
Physical DemandsThis role requires standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for extended periods. The position can be loud, and talking or hearing may be difficult at times. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to lift 50 pounds is also essential.
