Position Overview: As a vital member of the surgical team at Merit Health Madison, the Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of assigned patients, planning and implementing individualized nursing care.
- Assist physicians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Administer medications and perform various patient tests within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and their families on conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
Qualifications:
- Current MS RN license.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS.
- 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
