Job Overview

The Chief Administrative Officer reports directly to the President and assumes the duties and responsibilities of the President during their absence. This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of all institutional locations and personnel to ensure adherence to policies and regulations set forth by the Tennessee Board of Regents as well as applicable state and federal laws.

  • Assist the President in the ongoing evaluation, modification, implementation, and monitoring of operational objectives and goals - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of experience in post-secondary career and technical education
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a technical education environment

Preferred Qualifications

Seven (7) years of experience in organizational management with administrative experience in higher education
Familiarity with Council on Occupational Education accreditation requirements, Federal Student Aid programs, and state initiatives
Experience in procurement and contract bidding
Background in facilities management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven decision-making ability regarding budgets, personnel, and programs in an educational context
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of network systems, MS Office applications, and student information systems
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
Capacity to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively
Strong analytical capabilities
Ability to plan and direct the work of others
Administrative, technical writing, and project management skills.
