Faculty Positions Available at Coast Community College District

The Coast Community College District is seeking qualified part-time faculty members to teach a variety of courses at our three colleges: Coastline Community College, Golden West College, and Orange Coast College. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and contribute to the district's mission of providing high-quality education and training.
Responsibilities- Teach all scheduled classes, including day, evening, weekend, online, and off-campus classes.
- Provide quality instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning, and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
- Must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, issued prior to July 1, 1990.
- Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience.
- Associate degree and six years of professional experience.
- Or, possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.
- Recent community college or lower division teaching experience.
- Expertise and professional experience in the field of course(s) to be taught.
Employment is on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon verification of employment history, background verification as governed under Education Code requirements, eligibility to work in the United States, and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees.
