ECU Health Duplin Hospital is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food products to our patients, retail, and catering customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of food products, including meats, vegetables, soups, bakery items, and desserts.
- Operate institutional kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a team-oriented environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a culinary role.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is preferred).
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic culinary skills, including knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays. The successful candidate must be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, carry, or lift supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
