About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at Lone Peak Surgery Center. As a member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of improving human life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients postoperatively, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the recovery process.
  • Prepare patient care areas, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available and provided.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, temperature, and cardiac function, and report any abnormalities to the surgeon.
  • Exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
  • Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations of patients using an approved scoring system, in line with HCA policy and procedure.
  • Check dressings and/or operative sites of patients and report any abnormalities to the surgeon.
  • Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families.
  • Ensure patients meet discharge criteria before releasing them from the facility.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment.
  • BCLS Certification upon employment. Online certification not acceptable.
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire.
  • PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire.
